Air Force officer missing in action from Vietnam War is identified
BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- 37-year-old then Capt. Perry Jefferson (left), with Army Capt. Kent Brown, failed to return from an observation mission on April 3, 1969. Maj. Jefferson's remains were identified this year after a Vietnamese national living in California turned them over to U.S. officials, in 2001, stating that they were recovered at a site where two U.S. pilots crashed.
