Medical warehouse open for business
BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Tech. Sgt. Kevin Hutcherson, 460th Medical Group, moves a new bed from the new medical warehouse to be transported to the Buckley Clinic March 21. The newly designed warehouse cost about $725,000 and is a temperature-controlled storage facility that houses the 460th MDG homeland defense assemblages and war reserve materiel programs worth about $626,000. The medical logistics team mans the warehouse and is responsible for receiving, storing, inspecting and distributing medical supplies and equipment ranging from pharmaceutical drugs to non-medical equipment in order to enhance patient care. Medical supplies were stored in a variety of locations, including leased space, prior to the warehouse construction. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Logan Tuttle)
