Training day
Sgt. Brian Geraghty (center) and Lance Cpl. Christopher Pickens (right) look at World War II veteran Lucky McGinty?s ID card from the 1940s Aug. 9 at a Denver Broncos training camp practice. McGinty flew 29 combat missions into Germany as a B-17 gunner with the 95th Bomb Group. The Marines were invited to the practice by the Greatest Generations Foundation to meet with World War II Veterans. The Marines are assigned to the Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado. The Greatest Generations Foundation is a non-profit educational organization that raises money to fully fund trips for veterans to revisit the sites of their former battlefields.
