Farewell Chief Candler
BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Candler, former 460th Space Wing command chief, departed Buckley, May 2, to become the command chief of the Ogden Air Logistics Center and 75th Air Base Wing at Hill AFB, Utah. Chief Candler arrived here in June 2006 and almost immediately started drinking the "space Kool-Aid." He could be frequently seen around base delivering his war cry, "spacepower!" and shaking the hands of Airmen and pausing to say hello and see how they were doing. "I have tried to be the example of 'responsibility' knowing that I am responsible to my country and the Air Force to take care of the greatest national treasure -- the people I lead every day -- America's sons and daughters," Chief Candler wrote in an e-mail addressed to the men and women of the 460th Space Wing.
