Airmen taking care of Airmen: meaning behind the Mansfield Tree
BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The Mansfield tree was lit Dec. 5 in front of the Health and Wellness Center here in memory of the 460th Space Communications Squadron's late Senior Airman Kristopher Mansfield, whose motorcycle was struck by a drunk driver Sept. 4, 2004. Airman Mansfield passed away two days later. The 460th SCS lights the tree in honor of Airman Mansfield every year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Steve Czyz)
