7 year old becomes ‘Airman for a day’
Keegan Stipe, left, a 7-year-old boy who is overcoming transverse myelitis, a spinal condition that limits his ability to walk, simulates landing a parachute during his Airman for a Day base tour Aug. 26, 2014, on Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. Keegan has always been fascinated with fast planes, loud guns and the military lifestyle, so the 460th Space Wing gave him and his parents the opportunity to visit the base.
