75 veterans take trip to Washington D.C.
Maj. Gen. Trulan Eyre, 1st Air Force Air National Guard assistant to the commander, speaks to more than 75 World War II, Vietnam, Korea, terminally ill and Purple Heart recipient veterans before they board a plane May 3, 2015, at Denver International Airport in Denver. Hosted by the Honor Flight of Northern Colorado, the overnight trip to Washington D.C. gave veterans the chance to visit military memorials. The trip is offered every year free of charge for the vets through donations from the public. (U.S. Air Force photo Airman 1st Class Samantha Meadors/Released)
