Arbor Day
Col. Darren Buck, 460th Space Wing vice commander, was presented the Tree City USA award from Keith Wood, Colorado State Forester and member of the Arbor Day Foundation April 23 on Buckley AFB, Colo. Communities achieve Tree City USA status by meeting four core standards of sound urban forestry management: maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry and celebrating Arbor Day. Trees in Buckley increase property values, enhance the economic vitality of business areas and beautify our community. (Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Luke W. Nowakowski/Released)
