Domestic Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and is recognized by Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, a woman is assaulted or beaten every nine seconds in the U.S. . On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the U.S. Buckley offers multiple avenues to seek help when dealing with domestic violence such as the Buckley Chapel, the Airman and Family Readiness Center and the Health and Wellness Center.
