460th SFS practices social distancing while manning the gate

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Laurente Drake, 460th Security Forces Squadron member, gives approval for a driver to proceed through the Mississippi Gate at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., April 2, 2020. Buckley AFB is currently in Health Protection Condition level Charlie in response to the spread of COVID-19 in the state of Colorado. In efforts to reduce the amount of face-to-face interaction, identification cards are now visually inspected or scanned at a distance upon arrival to the gate unless absolutely required for security or privacy reasons. The HPCON Charlie defines base measures for a substantial disease threat and ensures Team Buckley is using the proper protocols and processes to prevent transmission.
