BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado -- The 460th Medical Group on Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, will open ‘Medical Group North’ facility, May 1, 2018.
The opening of MDG North is the last stage of the Massing the Medics initiative, moving all medical services onto base to provide more accessible services to Team Buckley members.
This facility will include:
-Family Health, which provides a broad range of family-centered healthcare. Services offered include adult medicine, pediatric general medicine, and gynecology (including annual pap smears). Special emphasis is placed on health maintenance and preventative medical services.
-Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) services are provided to all patients within the Family Health clinic as a part of a proactive approach to enhancing full-spectrum health. The goal of this program is to offer short-term solution-based intervention focusing on behavioral issues such as anxiety, stress, weight problems, smoking cessation, grief, and pain management.
-Dental Clinic, which provides comprehensive general dentistry for active duty members. We offer annual exams and cleanings, fillings, crowns (including same-day crowns using the latest 3-D milling technology), oral surgery, root canals and other limited specialty services.
-Optometry, which provides routine eye exams, eyeglasses, and screening exams for LASIK/PRK surgery to Active Duty members. Routine contact lens exams and contact lens updates are available on a case-by case basis.
At MDG North, patients will be able to conveniently access and utilize the following ancillary clinics: Immunizations, Lab, and their brand-new Radiology department (coming soon!)
