460th CES gains new commander

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado --  Lt. Col. Christopher Eyle took command of the 460th Civil Engineer Squadron from Lt. Col. Charles Hassell, June 27, 2018, on Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado.

Col. Shawn Thompson, 460th Mission Support Group commander, presided over the ceremony and transferred the guidon from Hassell to Eyle, symbolizing the change of command.

As part of their arrival, each new commander is asked a series of questions to show Team Buckley their personality. Here’s Eyle's First Five:

What is something you learned from your last base that you would like to bring to Buckley?

At Mountain Home Air Force Base I learned to be aggressive. When you see a problem, own the problem, fix the problem.

Who do you think is the most influential person of all time?

Theodore Roosevelt. He changed the way things were done; he shook up the status quo, and quite frankly he just took care of business.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from it?

I was a bus boy at a Mexican restaurant. I learned that you gotta hustle. You can go from being bored to being slammed within minutes and you just gotta hustle to keep the machine working.

If you were a professional wrestler, what would your name be and why?

My college nickname was Moose, so I’ll go with that. I’m larger than your average deer, I’ll put it that way.

What does this character look like?

He’s gonna have the tights with the superhero underwear thing; then he’s gonna have the brown, Chewbacca-type fur vest, and maybe some Viking horns with moose antlers.
