Team Buckley celebrated diversity in their annual Diversity Day and Inclusion at Buckley Air
Force Base, Colo., September 26, 2019. Over 13 different cultures were represented at the
event with booths set up to inform participants on their culture.
The day started with a one mile march, followed by a fashion show where volunteers from
different cultures displayed their cultures attire.
“We all grew up differently, we all come from different places, different walks of life and I will tell
you it is great when we put this all together to accomplish the mission it is absolutely
phenomenal,” said Col. Devin Pepper, 460 Space Wing commander.
The day saw a record attendance with over 200 people participating in events and learning
about other cultures.
“We can only go up and outwards from here and make it a bigger success in the years that
follow,” said Capt. Jamie Olguin, 460th Healthcare Operations Squadron Diagnostics and
Therapeutics Flight Commander.
