In recognition of National Physical Fitness and Sports and Military Appreciation Months, Team Buckley will host an information fair 11 a.m. May 22 at The Exchange.

Located outside of the exchange, the fair will provide information on women's health and special programs that offer support to the military community.

"There will be a special program demonstration from Phoenix Multisport, a non-profit organization in Denver that supports military and veterans," said Christina Stump, 460th Space Wing community support coordinator.

Hosted by the Integrated Delivery System Committee, Buckley Health and Wellness Center, mental health clinic and Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado, the fair will offer education on women's health such as breast cancer, heart health, nutrition and fitness. This information fair will highlight some of the community agencies on and off base that promote health and wellness to the military community at Buckley. It is also an opportunity to thank the U.S. military -- active duty, Reserve, National Guard and retired -- by providing demonstrations and other fitness activities.

"It is an outreach activity at the BX that will provide information and education to the base populace on women's health issues, as well as a salute to our men and women," said Alan Muriera, HAWC health promotion manager and health educator.
