Outdoor rec hosting free mountain bike trips Published May 2, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Paul Labbe 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- An all-expense paid mountain bike trip is scheduled May 5 to Green Mountain trail near Lakewood, Colo. The Green Mountain trail is seven miles long and may take one to three hours to complete. The trail has an elevation rise of about 1,000 feet. Additional mountain bike trips are scheduled each Sunday in May. Future trips will be to the Betasso Preserve trail in Boulder, Apex Park trail in Jefferson, and Alderfer Three Sisters trail in Evergreen. Limited space is available for these trips. Priority will be given to active-duty members who have deployed down range at least once, as well as their guests. The trip is hosted by the 460th Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation Center.
