BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- A Lady Panther Social is scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Leadership Development Center.
All women with access to the base are encouraged to attend.
This social will be part one of two in a self-defense series. Part one will cover self-defense techniques and tools. Part two will take place in April and will feature hands-on training at the fitness center.
The book for this month is "Lives if Extraordinary Women: Rulers, Rebels (and What the Neighbors Thought)," by Kathryn Krull. Reading the book prior to the event is not a requirement to attend, though it will be a topic of discussion. Main points of the book will be revealed before discussion begins so all can participate.
While sodas, water, wine and beer will be free, each person is asked to bring a snack or appetizer. For more information, contact Christina Stump at 720-847-6881 or April Dobson at 720-847-4603.
