AFAS grant program accepting applicants Published Jan. 23, 2013 BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The deadline for eligible children and spouses of service members to submit an application for $2,000 educational grants through the Air Force Aid Society's Gen. Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program is March 8. Eligible participants include children of active duty, Title 10 Active Guard Reserve or Reservists, Title 32 AGR performing full-time active duty, retired, retired reserve and deceased Air Force members; spouses of active-duty members and Title 10 AGR or Reservists; and surviving spouses of deceased service members for their full-time undergraduate studies. Only correctly completed applications with all required documents received by March 8 will be considered for the competitive grants. Selection notifications will be made in late May or early June.
