The Buckley Pharmacy is in urgent need of volunteers to assist the active-duty staff in distributing medications to active-duty members, retirees, veterans and families.

Within the last year, 10 volunteers have resigned due to personal issues not related to the pharmacy; leaving a desperate need for new volunteers. A minimum of 40 volunteers are required each week, each meeting a set of simple requirements. The individual volunteering must have a military ID, be able to stand during their 4.5 hour morning or afternoon shift, be able to bend to place medications on low shelves, and have unimpaired vision to read medication labels. While there is a minimum age limit of 18 years old, there is no maximum age limit.

Volunteer duties include placing filled prescriptions on their designated shelves and distributing medications to customers. Application forms can be obtained at the pharmacy or by contacting the pharmacy by phone at 720-847-7455.
