Stop, drop, roll: Buckley to host Fire Prevention Week activities Published Oct. 5, 2012 Buckley Fire & Emergency Services BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 2012 Fire Prevention Week motto encourages people to "Have 2 Ways Out" in case of an emergency. Running Oct. 7-13, the week will bring a number of activities to Buckley, including hands-on fire extinguisher training, fire prevention education and a pancake breakfast. The department will visit various locations with a mobile kitchen fire simulator and give out prizes. The fire department will visit the following locations on the specified dates below: Oct. 8 Commissary and The Exchange Oct. 9 9-10:30 a.m. - Child Development Center, Bldg. 351 1-2:30 p.m. - Bldg. 1030 Oct. 10 9-10:30 a.m. - Bldg. 1005 1-2:30 p.m. - Bldg. 606 Oct. 11 9-10:30 a.m. - CDC, Bldg. 725 1-2:30 p.m. - Air Reserve Personnel Center, Bldg. 390 Oct. 12 7:30-9:30 a.m. - Wrap up Fire Prevention week at the Fire Department Open House and Pancake Breakfast at the main fire station, Bldg. 806. There will be hands-on fire extinguisher training and educational fire prevention information. The free breakfast is sponsored by the Buckley Firefighters Association, but donations are accepted.
