The Denver Nuggets dancers and staff, along with KYGO's Paul Donovan, held a pep rally for Team Buckley and troops at the Fitness Center on Feb 18.

The pep rally event included a basketball skills challenge, prize giveaways, along with discounted ticket sales for the Denver Nuggets game that will be held on Feb 22. The KYGO tour bus was at Buckley to entertain troops, as well. A giant military banner was also brought for military members to sign that will be unfurled at the Nuggets game.

The Denver Nuggets dancers and representatives, along with KYGO, came out to Buckley to show their love and appreciation for the military.

"We are here to make a connection with the troops, and with the military community," said Mrs. Maya Starks, Altitude Television reporter and host. We are at war right now, and there seems to be a disconnect between citizens and military personnel and we just want to bridge that gap and let the troops know that we are on their side, and we know that they are over there fighting for us.

Military personal felt honored that these different organizations took time to come out and show their appreciation.

"It felt good to know that we are supported at all levels of the community," said Airman 1st Class Marcy Glass, 460th Space Wing. "I definitely hope they continue to come out and show support in the future because I really enjoyed it."
