BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo., -- As Airmen around the base hang their stockings, not to mention a few decorations, with care, Buckley and Air Force agencies are helping everyone get in the spirit.
Santa is even taking time from his busy schedule at the North Pole to help the base get in the spirit. Children have the opportunity to eat break with Santa at the Learning Development Center Dec 11 from 8 to 10 a.m. and again from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information and to register, call 720-847-9992.
Anyone who wants to keep up with Santa's preparations after breakfast can go to http://www.noradsanta.org. At this official NORAD site, people can visit Santa's Village and even track Santa's travel Christmas night.
The base is also in the middle of the Holiday Fitness Challenge, which lasts until Dec 22. People can go to the fitness center and select an ornament, which has an activity on the back of it. After completing the activity, prizes can be won.
Outdoor Recreation is offering a trip, Dec 17 at 4:30 p.m., to see the Zoo Lights in Denver. The $9 for adult, and $5 for children, fee includes a ticket, transportation, as well as hot chocolate and a snack. For more information, or to register, call 720-847-6100.
