The Buckley child development center programs recently received notification from the National Association for the Education of Young Children that both CDCs achieved national accreditation.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce to all our Team Buckley Child Development Center Program families and 350 children that A-Basin Child Development Center and Crested Butte Child Development Center are nationally accredited.

Accreditation establishes and recognizes high quality programs in the field of early childhood worldwide and is therefore considered a prestigious accomplishment. All Air Force Child Development Center Programs are required to be accredited. This endeavor marked a two-year intense self-study program to meet 10 standards including classroom observations across 417 criteria.

It is commendable for both programs to have received such outstanding scores averaging 98 percent across all 10 standards. It is a true testament to the hard work of the people involved with both programs and their dedication and commitment to earning such an impressive mark of high quality represented by the academy of the NAEYC.
