Senior Airman David Rodriguez, 460th Logistics Readiness Squadron traffic management journeyman, is Team Buckley's Warrior of the Week for May 10. Airman Rodriguez is from San Diego, Calif., and enjoys basketball, wrestling and boxing.

Why was Airman Rodriguez nominated for Warrior of the Week?

"Senior Airman Rodriguez has epitomized the warrior attitude in his day-to-day performance of duties. His knowledge and customer focus in the personal property and entitlements arena has been key in the successful mission accomplishment of the Traffic Management Office, providing both timely and superior personal property counseling to all personnel assigned to Buckley's area of responsibility. His quick mastery of the newly launched Defense Personal Property System has enabled him to be totally effective in meeting shipping requirements," said Tech. Sgt. Jenee Grant-Locke, 460th LRS quality control.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The interaction with different members from different branches along with experiencing different situations that always provide a learning opportunity that enhances my knowledge and makes me a more effective counselor.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Deployment to the desert, doing my part in the war on terrorism.

Why is serving your country important to you?

To make sure that I can do my part in protecting my country the best way possible and to protect my family from harm along with all people in this great country.

What are your personal and career goals?

My personal goal is to get at least a degree in nursing and International business. My career goals are to have a great air force career and retire after 20 years as an E-7 or above.

Embrace the Air Force core values, and seek out mentorship from those positive, professional airmen you come in contact with on a daily basis.
