If you do the crime, you do the time! This is true in the U.S. Air Force. The following is a summary of punitive actions Buckley Airmen received in January.

A senior airman was acquitted by a court-martial of wrongful distribution of a controlled substance and obtaining services valued at more than $500 under false pretenses.

An airman received an Article 15 for use of marijuana; the Airman received a reduction in grade to airman basic, restriction to base for 45 days and a reprimand.

An airman 1st class received an Article 15 for driving under the influence; the Airman received a reduction in grade to airman, seven days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for forgery of official documents so the Airman would be released from a lease early; the Airman received a suspended reduction in grade to airman 1st class, forfeiture of $981 per month for two months and a reprimand.

An airman received an Article 15 for simple assault and damage to government property after fighting with a Soldier and destroying a Ping-Pong table; the Airman received a suspended reduction in grade to airman basic, forfeiture of $150 per month for two months and a reprimand, and must replace the Ping-Pong table.

An airman received an Article 15 for failure to go to a medical appointment; the Airman received restriction to base for 30 days.

An airman 1st class who had previously received a suspended reduction in grade to airman for underage drinking was reduced in grade to airman after failing to report to a mandatory appointment.

An airman basic received an administrative discharge after a series of infractions including two Articles 15.

A senior airman received an honorable discharge due to repeated failure to meet physical fitness standards.
