BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- If you do the crime, you do the time! This is true in the U.S. Air Force. The following is a summary of administrative actions Buckley Airmen received in October.
An airman 1st class, involved in a government vehicle accident, asked a co-worker to not divulge the accident. The Airman also falsified official forms to show the accident occured on a different date. The Airman received 15 days extra dut and $200 forfeiture of pay.
A staff sergeant misused a government travel card and received a suspended reduction to senior airman and a letter of reprimand.
After a previous administrative action, a senior airman failed to be at a mandatory appointment (failure to go) and received a reduction in rank to airman 1st class.
Two Airmen with several minor disciplinary infractions were discharged.
An airman basic, previously court-martialed for illegal drug use, was discharged.
A staff sergeant was prosecuted off base for third degree assault. Although the sergeant pleaded guilty, it cost more than $1,400 in fines and court fees. Additionally, an unfavorable information file was established and the sergeant received a letter of reprimand.
