The base fitness center recently purchased new cardio equipment to better serve Team Buckley and allow service members to work out with less wait time. The equipment should be installed in the Fitness Center in the next two to three weeks.

"Airman will be able to come in, choose the type of cardio activity they would like to perform and get to a machine without delay," said 2nd Lt. Jessica Gruver, Fitness Center Officer in charge. "More machines means less waiting and more doing."

The equipment includes:
- 14 new spin bikes
- 32 bike monitors
- Five elliptical trainers
- Five adaptive motion trainers

"The adaptive motion trainers are the latest and greatest in low-impact cardio equipment," Lieutenant Gruver added. "Also, with more and better bikes we can offer superior spin classes. The computer monitors allow us to enhance the fitness aspect of our functionally fun classes by calculating calories burnt, distance and heart rate, along with pace."

In addition to the cardio equipment, portable toilets were installed near the fitness center track.

"This new equipment greatly improves our already five-star program," said Lieutenant Gruver.
