60th Anniversary Air Force Ball set

The 60th Anniversary Air Force Ball is set for Sept. 14 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, 7711 East Academy Blvd., on the old Lowry Campus.

"This year's ball will be special," stated Phil Coupal with the ball organizing committee. "This year we will commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Air Force becoming its own service branch. Lot's of fun and exciting things are planned."

The social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner provided by Lifestyles Catering at 7 p.m. and dance music by the Manhattan Swing Band beginning at 9 p.m.

The cost of the event is as follows:
Military and Retired military
E1-E4 $40
E5-E6 $45
E7-E9 & O1-O3 $50
O4 & Up $55
Civilians (GS or equivalent Pay Band)
GS-9 and below $45
GS-11 thru GS-12 $50
GS-13 & Up $55

All others are at $55. Drink tickets must be purchased separately.

Dress for the event is Mess Dress or semi-formal or civilian equivalent for non-military participants.

Event tickets and drink tickets can be purchased through any Air Force First Sergeant beginning Aug. 27, through Sept. 12. Event and drink tickets must be purchased prior to the day of the event.
