Q. How long have you been in the Air Force and in the space career field? Also, how long have you been with the 460th Space Wing?

A. I have been in the Air Force for 17 years; all of which has been in the space career field. I have been in the 460th SW for three years.

Q. Why did you join the Air Force?

A. Mainly for the education opportunities, but over the years I have learned that the Air Force has so much more to offer.

Q. How do you feel about being a SBIRS instructor?

A. It is a privilege to be part of something that is very important to our nation's defense, and training to people to operate that system is a very important job. So I feel a sense of honor to be selected as an instructor for this program. It is a huge responsibility.

Q. What's your favorite part of your job?

A. When I'm teaching a student and you can see the light bulb turn on when they learn something new.

Q. What are some of your off-duty hobbies or activities?

A. I like to attend and participate in sporting activities and fishing, but mainly, I like to spend time with my family.

Q. What's the most valuable thought or insight you want to pass on to your students?

A. If you are learning something for the first time and you are just not getting it, don't get frustrated. Just relax and be patient, and it will come to you.
