Come one, come all, and prepare for the Inaugural Buckley Ball at the Denver Center for Performing Arts’s Seawell Ballroom on April 6, 2024. The ball is an event intended to celebrate the entirety of the Buckley community across all services and ranks.

Buckley Space Force Base, by name, is a space force installation. However, the ball intends to drive connection amongst one another regardless of heritage.

“As an all-encompassing ball for Buckley, we are constantly thinking of how to represent every service, in addition to the major tenant units on base,” remarked United States Space Force Capt. Samantha Burns, Co-Chair of the Buckley Ball committee. “Connection is a core value in our guardians and is something that should expand beyond our guardians to our other service members as well.”

With this being the First Buckley Ball and its new approach toward a more holistic base outlook, U.S. Space Force Master Sgt. Rachel Schwalm, Co-Chair of the Buckley Ball committee, remarks on how the ball plans to set a precedent going forward.

“The Buckley Ball allows us to come together to celebrate our diversity,” recalled Schwalm. “Every service team organization has its own unique culture and heritage. We want to capitalize on our differences while uniting us with a shared experience and celebrating connection. We want to capitalize on our differences while uniting us with a shared experience celebrating connection.”
