Panther of the week: Ms. Judy Corizzo Published March 7, 2016 By 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Name: Ms. Judy Corizzo Unit/job title: 460th Comptroller Squadron wing budget officer Length of service: 32 years between active duty and civil service Hobbies: Hiking and reading Unique Fact: At the age of 12, Corizzo broke into her town's animal shelter to rescue dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized. Corizzo joined the Air Force in 1984 to serve her country after watching her father serve faithfully and happily for many years. She began working at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., in September 2001, with her entire career in financial management. Currently serving as the base budget officer, she is fiscally responsible for the management and oversight of a $16 million operations and maintenance account. She supports more than 60,000 active duty, guard, reserve, civilians and retirees in the Colorado front range area in all financial aspects. She also provides resource management and oversight of the 460th Space Wing appropriated and non-appropriated fund budgets, and ensures prudent use of fiscal resources within regulatory and legal authorities and provides key advice and decision support to wing. Corizzo has been part of getting items funded and watching the wing grow for the last 14 years.
