The fall is ball season as the Air Force, Marines and Navy celebrate their birthdays in the upcoming months. Celebrations are usually conducted by holding a formal military celebration. Attending these celebrations can be quite expensive for women who need a multitude of items in order to meet the appropriate attire.

For a woman, a dress with heels, jewelry and makeup are typically a part of the attire when attending a military ball. These items can be expensive, especially when only being worn on only a few occasions.

Cinderella's Closet is an event held on Buckley Air Force Base for women to shop for donated dresses and other accessories in preparation for a military ball in order to lessen the financial burden of such an event.

Amanda Rosevear, Panther Den cashier, was at the event and was able to walk away with two dresses for zero charge. Rosevear said that she has been to Cinderella's Closet events on base before and thinks they are beneficial to those who aren't looking to spend a lot of money to be dressed nicely for the formal event. She also said friendly staff and the addition of accessories such as jewelry and makeup made this Cinderella's Closet especially helpful.

Cinderella's Closet events are held before every military ball to give a helping hand to those who aren't looking to spend a fortune on one night.
