Panther at a Glance: Staff Sgt. Jessica Pentecost joined the Air Force at the age of 18 after graduating from a high school with a class of 55 students. She joined the military to travel and for the scholastic opportunities.  Her first base was Little Rock, Arkansas, where she spent 15 months. She then went to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, with a follow on to Hickam AFB, Hawaii, followed by Buckley AFB, Colorado. She is a public health technician serving a year-long tour in protocol. One of her most memorable Air Force moments has been being a part of a humanitarian effort while in Turkey.

Pentecost was nominated for Panther of the Week because of the outstanding work she did in planning and executing the visit of Chief Master Sgt. Douglas McIntyre, Air Force Space Command command chief.  She worked to ensure the flawless execution of his two-day visit to Buckley AFB. Her behind-the-scenes work and attention to detail did not go unnoticed as she received a coin from the chief - one of only five given out during his visit.  She was hand-selected to serve a one-year tour as the protocol assistant for the 460th Space Wing Protocol Office and proudly calls the 460th Medical Group and Public Health office her home. Since arriving in the protocol shop two months ago, she has displayed a keen interest in learning protocol and her endless energy has come in handy helping to cover visits and events.
