The 2014 flu season is here and vaccinations are available for all active duty members, as well as civilian employees in positions that mandate immunization, such as healthcare workers and child development center employees.

The 460th Medical Group is set to hold four flu lines at the base chapel 7 a.m. to noon Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, 16 and 23 to ease the process.

Records will be updated on site, but a print out of the record will not be available. However, if your command requires a copy, it is available on the Air Force Portal on the Individual Medical Readiness section.

Additionally, there will be two flu lines at the Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado in Bldg. D490 in rooms 5141 and 5142 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and 10.

Records for those who receive the vaccination at the ADF-C will not be updated until the following day.

An update will be sent to the base as vaccinations for others become available.

Be prepared to wait 15 minutes after receiving the flu vaccine in case of an adverse reaction. For questions or concerns, call the immunizations clinic at 720-847-6553.
