Buckley to hold empowerment hike

Team Buckley is holding the September Women's Empowerment Group event starting 1 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Castlewood Canyon State Park, Colo.

The 2-mile hike will begin at Canyon Point and travels to Lake Gulch and Inner Canyon Trail. If anyone does not feel like driving, a 25-passenger shuttle will leave from the chapel parking lot at noon and return at 4 p.m. The cost will be $10 a person and includes access into the park.

Comfortable shoes, water, and a snack or lunch are suggested.

This hike is for all nature lovers to enjoy a day hiking, and this empowerment session is open to spouses, significant others and children.

DIRECTIONS: To reach the main entrance of Castlewood Canyon State Park, take Interstate 25 to Castle Rock and exit onto Founders Parkway eastbound. Take Founders Parkway to Highway 86 and go east on Highway 86 for 4 miles to Franktown. Turn south on Highway 83 south Parker Rd, and go 5 miles south to the main park entrance.
