BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- It's been nearly 10 years since the 460th Air Base Wing became America's premier space wing, delivering unrivaled space operations and installation support for the nation's defense. I couldn't be prouder to lead the fine men and women of the 460th as we close out this first decade of defending our country and taking care of our people.
In that time, we've met and overcome countless challenges, adapted to changing work environments and advancing technologies, and shared with our friends and families some truly amazing success stories.
In addition, our community has seen unprecedented development transform Buckley from a small, newly minted Air Force base into a leading example for military installations across the nation and the world.
Today's Team Buckley of 84 mission partners works together daily to keep our country and our people safe. In honor of our ninth anniversary, I urge everyone to think about what it means to be a part of Team Buckley. Reach out to your partners. Exchange stories and experiences across branches. Work with each other and for each other to become better leaders and to gain deeper understanding of the different, important roles we all play in the mission.
Remember, "we are ready forces providing unmatched space-based warning and awareness -- protecting the homeland and global warfighters."
Happy Birthday Panthers!
