Buckley Government Service Station undergoes renovations Published Aug. 22, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Paul Labbe 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The Buckley Government Service Station, used to fuel government-owned vehicles, will undergo renovations and is scheduled to reopen mid-September. The GSS will be located next to vehicle maintenance. The station will include two 12,000-gallon fuel tanks, pumped offloads, bulk-fill stands for mobile refuels, a containment basin, a new concrete pad, fencing around the new tanks and an eye-wash station. The temporary diesel station is open seven days a week and is only available for emergency or tactical vehicles that can't go off base. All other vehicles needing to purchase diesel fuel off base will utilize a Wright Express Card, which can be signed out at the 460th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle operations shop.
