BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado -- Lt. Col. Shannon McDougald took command of the 460th Comptroller Squadron from Lt. Col. Christopher Humphrey, July 19, 2018, on Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado.
Col. Troy Endicott, 460th Space Wing commander, presided over the ceremony and transferred the guidon from Humphrey to McDougald, symbolizing the change of authority.
As part of their arrival, each new commander is asked a series of questions to show Team Buckley their personality. Here's McDougald’s First Five:
What do you think is the most important first impression to make on your Airmen as a new commander?
Approachability and Trustworthiness.
Which of the Air Force Core Values holds the most meaning to you and why?
Tough, but if I had to choose one it would be integrity, because it is the value that really defines a person’s character as honorable and incorruptible. If integrity is missing, then trust and confidence will be lost, compromising service and excellence.
What are you priorities as the new CPTS commander?
Getting to know my folks so I can take care of them and ensuring resource readiness.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure movie?
I would have to say Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze (Johnny) and Jennifer Grey (Baby).
You’re given a paid one-week vacation, but you have to go alone. Where are you going?
Honestly, nowhere because I like going on vacation with my family and friends.
