The 460th Medical Group conducted exercise Ready Eagle, a week long training event culminating in a capstone full-scale exercise Sept. 18, 2020, at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. The purpose of the exercise is to test the 460th MDG's disaster response capabilities.

Ready Eagle began with a simulated explosion at the Air Reserve Personnel Center building with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosions (CBRNE) elements involved. First responders arrived on-scene and immediately began accessing and treating victims. The 460th Operational Medical Response Squadron then arrived to test for CBRNE elements.

Once victims were accessed and treated at the incident site, they were transported to the North Medical Building. Victims were then put through a decontamination tent outside of the North Medical Building to help further prevent any CBRNE contaminations to medical providers. After words, victims would be placed into the North Medical Building to receive further care.
