Sanjay Allen 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 460th Space Wing successfully passed its operational readiness inspection by the Air Force Space Command Inspector General team April 20 - 28.An ORI is conducted to evaluate the ability of units with a wartime or contingency mission to perform assigned operational missions.Grading is based on a five-tier rating system consisting of outstanding, excellent, satisfactory, marginal and unsatisfactory.The wing received satisfactory grades in the following categories: Initial Response, Employment, Mission Support and Ability to Survive and Operate. The overall grade for the base was satisfactory. There were nine excellent, 17 satisfactory and three marginal ratings in the report.Col. John Stocker, Air Force Space Command Inspector General said he would report to Gen. Robert Kehler, AFSPC commander, and Lt. Gen. William Shelton, 14th Air Force commander, that the 460th Space Wing accomplished their mission with 25 professional performers and 21 professional teams."I'm very proud of you guys today," Col. Wayne McGee, 460th SW commander, said. "We had an incredible number of professional performers and teams. We raised the standards that were set by Gen.
