If you could change one thing about the Air Force what would it be?
I would standardize the performance rating system. I would start everyone in the middle and let the individual work their way up to the top or bottom; rather than having a difference of viewpoints between raters.

How do your day-to-day duties contribute to mission success?
I collect funds from third-party agencies, process funds and deposit them into a group account. Funds are used to purchase services, supplies and equipment needed to keep the mission going.

What has been your most memorable experience in the Air Force?
The two days that I was fortunate enough to spend shadowing (Col. David Ziegler, 460th Space Wing commander). I was able to learn some of the things he does in the performance of his daily duties. The highlight was driving the wing commander' s car.

Duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments:
I process checks received and deposit funds daily. I run daily reports and brief the executive committee monthly. I also perform Coast Guard billing.

My responsibilities include managing and tracking funds collected by the 460th MDG. And I process refunds for any over payments. I update and maintain operational instructions and guidance for, collections, processing and deposits.

I was selected as Medic of the Month for June 2006 and I had the privilege of shadowing the wing commander in June. I recommended a process improvement idea where we now scan, save, and e-mail documents rather than copying them and faxing or mailing them.
