BUCKLEY SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. --

Sept. 11, 2023 is the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Members of Team Buckley gathered in remembrance of the unfortunate loss that our nation suffered from the attacks on this day.

Col. Clay, Space Base Delta 2 vice commander, offered remarks.

"As members of Team Buckley, we understand the importance of vigilance, preparedness, and sacrifice. We carry the legacy of those who have gone before us, and we stand ready to defend our homeland against any threat. Our resolve remains unshaken, our wings remain strong, and our dedication to the principles of liberty remains unwavering."

Today we mourn and honor the lives of the civilians and first responders our nation lost on this day. We will never forget all the innocent lives lost and the heroes who sacrificed their lives to save others.
