Legal Assistance

The professionals at your base legal office are trained and qualified to offer you legal services as a part of your benefits. The legal office cannot provide legal assistance via the telephone.

The Air Force Legal Assistance Web site offers basic information on legal assistance topics that commonly affect military members such as consumer/financial affairs, family law, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and the Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA). It is recommended that you review the information listed on the Web site for your particular issue prior to speaking to an attorney.

Additionally, legal assistance is offered virtually as described below:

  • Advice regarding Family Law and Landlord/Tenant issues is available to Active Duty, Title 10 and Title 32 members and their dependents.
  • Wills and advice from an Attorney are only available by appointment to Active Duty members, and members on Title 10 or Title 32 Orders and the dependents of members who are deployed, deploying or quarantined.

All appointments, except witnessing of documents, will occur telephonically and or via a digital platform.

Please call 720-847-6444 and leave a detailed voice message that includes your name, phone number, military status and the subject matter of your call. You must leave a voice mail message to receive a return call as our system does not track missed calls.

Military members facing any administrative or punitive actions should contact the Area Defense Counsel at 720-847-6967.

Wills and Estate Planning

Everyone should have a will. Without a will, state law will determine your executor, the distribution and division of your assets, the selection of a guardian for your children and other important decisions. Fortunately, those eligible for legal assistance can have their wills and other estate planning needs met free of charge by scheduling an appointment with a legal assistance attorney.

Click HERE for a handout on general information about wills.

Before scheduling an appointment to complete a will, advanced medical directive or power-of-attorney, please visit the Air Force Legal Assistance Web site. This site will allow you to complete online legal worksheets for expedited service. A ticket number will be generated from the site once you've complete the appropriate worksheets. Please call (720) 847-6444 to schedule an appointment. Please have your ticket number available when you call our office for an appointment.
