Valerie Baker-Wilson grew up in the square-mile township of Andover, Ohio and graduated high school with a class of less than 100 students. She and her husband have two children, Madeline who is seven years old and Nicholas who is six months old. One of her greatest accomplishments was working with the Joint Criminal Investigation Task Force at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. During this time, she was in charge of informing the joint commander of the accountability of investigators and analysts working in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo. Baker-Wilson is also a local Girl Scout leader and mentors 13 kindergarten and first-grade girls. Baker-Wilson is one of the two instructors assigned to Buckley Air Force Base Airman Leadership School. She instructs future Air Force supervisors and leaders on lesson concepts and principles that are important in developing supervisory skills such as supervising Airman, becoming a professional and expeditionary Airman, and developing communication skills.
