  • 6 SWS wind turbines propel environmental, efficiency standards

    With the rising energy requirements across the U.S. Space Force, Space Delta 4 team members are constantly developing and implementing ways to efficiently save money and create a self-sustaining power source. The 6th Space Warning Squadron at Cape Cod Space Force Station, Massachusetts, is one of the units leading the way and investing in a renewable source, which in turn significantly cuts costs. As they consume about $5,000 worth of electricity every day, they were able to install wind turbines to save a tremendous amount each month in electric cost. Operational since 2014, they have generated enough electricity to repay the initial investment more than four years ahead of schedule.

    The United States Space Force’s cyber Guardians are trained in more than just their original Air Force Specialty Codes. These warriors are leading the forefront in the cyber warfare domain as they are trained to develop software and code. Out of 400 people, 25 members were selected to attend the “Supra Coders” course, and five of those chosen are assigned to Space Delta 4.

The Air Force now has an enterprise-wide mobile app designed to provide Airmen with streamlined access to information they need for their lives and careers.
