Colorado is home to the largest single-sized brewery in the world. Miller Coors Brewing Company covers 55 acres of land, and a piece of the brewery is available to tour.

The brewery is located almost 30 miles east of Buckley, and it takes about 35 to 45 minutes to drive. After arriving at the factory, people can park and take a bus ride to the tour entrance.

During the five-minute ride, a tour guide will show and tell about some of the historic sites around Golden, Colo. Some sites pointed out during the ride are the largest cobblestone building in the U.S., which was the Colorado National Guard armory, and the first stone hotel built west of the Mississippi River.

Tourist can take an approximate 30-minute self-paced tour to learn about Miller Coors history and the malting, brewing and packaging processes. At the end of the tour, those 21 years of age or older may sample a fresh Miller Coors beverage.

Hours for the tour are as follows:

10 a.m. to 4 p.m Thursday through Monday
Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday

Summer Hours (May 31 through Labor Day)

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday
Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday

Tours will not be offered during major holidays. For more information, visit the brewery website at www.millercoors.com/golden-brewery-tour.aspx.
